History Of CastBay
PT. Castbay Marine, as owner and ship agent services of fleet of tugs and barges, is active in the offshore marine services and mining sector. With our fleet of tugboats and flat top barges, we are able to undertake abroad spectrum of prompt and reliable services, ranging from support to the mining companies, vessels assistance and marine logistic support services.
Our company, active since 2008 in this sector without interruption, worked very closely together with the various mining companies and all our equipment has been constantly used for the delivery of operations at the oilfields and mines in transportation of cargo.
Facing a fierceful competition in this sector, we are committed to meet our clients ever-changing demands more satisfactorily keeping in mind our high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of our business. To achieve these goals, we are constantly updating our fleet by charter and/or purchase of new material, according to the international standards.

QUALITY POLICY
By emphasizing occupational health and environment, civilized human resources, and using reliable governance principles, we aim to become a trusted national shipping company with the assistance of excellent work practices.
QUALITY OBJECTIVES
The Company implements a quality objective as a basic commitment to service in carrying out all services to the company’s internal, customers, as well as other stakeholders, as follows:
- Developing the quality of Human Resources (HR) as the driving force behind the company’s seamless operation and the fulfillment of all essential labor rights;
- Applying management, control, and continuous improvement concepts to the technical and practical quality of the Company’s business functions, which encompass operational activities at the office (land) and across the fleet (sea);
- Maintaining customer (and stakeholder) trust and interests within the bounds of corporate commitment and the notion of compliance with legal requirements;
- Ensure the Company’s long-term viability, both in terms of operational operations and its capacity to react to global environmental changes.
GOVERNANCE POLICY
ZERO TOLERANCE
The “Zero Tolerance” policy is a decision made by the Company (management) to dishonorably terminate all employees (both onshore and crew members) immediately after being found guilty, legally proven, and taking actions (knowingly) violating the provisions of the prohibition on the use of, certain activities or actions that can endanger the Company’s good name and sustainability. Consistently, the Company refuses to re-hire, establish cooperative or business relationships, or participate in activities involving contributions from individuals who have previously received the “Zero Tolerance” policy.
The primary goal of this policy is to protect all stakeholders from forbidden or harmful behaviors, to restrict and implement the role of operational risk mitigation, and to prohibit all other types of counterproductive activity. The following are the topics covered under the “No Tolerance” policy:
- Drugs misuse;
- Addiction to alcohol;
- Addiction to narcotics and drugs;
- Corruption, collusion and nepotism;
- Physical violence, threaten and intimidation at working environment;
- Sexual violence at working environment;
- Violate criminal law.
